Big news for my fashion talkers—according to WWD, PatBo, the vibrant Brazilian lifestyle brand, has just appointed Isabella Baboury as its new president! If you’re into luxury fashion with a bold, feminine touch, this is a major moment to watch.

Baboury takes over from Cara Chen, who spent eight years building PatBo’s presence in the U.S. and was instrumental in its growth. With an impressive background at Burberry, Christian Louboutin, Chloé, and Saks Fifth Avenue, Baboury brings serious expertise to the table.

A Perfect Match for PatBo’s Vision

Founder and creative director Patricia Bonaldi couldn’t be more excited about the new addition. “Her deep knowledge of the luxury market is an asset, but what really excites me is her fresh take on the ever-changing fashion landscape. Together, we’re about to write a new global chapter for PatBo.”

And Baboury is just as thrilled. “PatBo is more than just fashion—it’s a movement,” she says. “The brand stands for bold femininity, craftsmanship, and a strong global vision. I’m honored to help lead this next chapter.”

A Brand on the Rise

Since launching in 2005, PatBo has expanded far beyond its Brazilian roots. Known for its hand-embroidered eveningwear, resortwear, and swim collections, the brand made a splash in the U.S. market in 2017. Celebrities like Beyoncé, Alicia Keys, Tate McRae, and Paris Hilton have all been spotted in PatBo designs.

Currently sold in over 150 stores across 20+ countries, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Net-a-Porter, and Revolve, the brand is on a mission to grow even bigger.

Expansion Plans: More Stores, More Categories

With two U.S. stores already in Miami and New York, Bonaldi is eyeing new locations in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Austin. She’s also looking to open 10 to 12 more U.S. stores over the next five years—a huge move for the brand.

And there’s more! Bonaldi has big plans to expand into accessories, bags, and shoes. “I want to be a full lifestyle brand, dressing women from the beach to the ballroom,” she says.

A Brand Built on Passion and Craftsmanship

What makes PatBo truly special is its commitment to craftsmanship and social impact. Bonaldi, who grew up making her own clothes out of necessity, has always been passionate about creating opportunities for women.

She founded a school in Uberlândia, Brazil, alongside PatBo’s atelier, to teach local women embroidery and craftsmanship skills. Today, PatBo employs over 600 people globally, many of whom come from that very program.

What’s Next?

With Baboury at the helm, PatBo is gearing up for an even bigger presence in the luxury fashion world. And the best part? It’s all happening organically, step by step, without investors pulling the strings.

If you love fashion that blends bold Brazilian energy with high-end craftsmanship, now is the time to keep an eye on PatBo. With Baboury’s leadership and Bonaldi’s vision, the brand’s next chapter is bound to be incredible.
